Watch this space for alerts and announcements as the season for tax filing year 2011 gets underway.

► The Albuquerque Journal reports that the State of New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Office will no longer mail personal income tax (PIT) packages out on an automatic basis. Taxation and Revenue officials encourage taxpayers to file online, and estimate this adjustment to service will save money, and create a faster and more accurate turnaround time on issuing refunds.
